From the conception of Afshar Hospital it was AMOR’s original design to not just give the people fish, but to teach them how to fish. We wanted the hospital to be a project that Afghans could take pride in and with guidance learn how to manage the hospital themselves. We believe it is important to create an environment that facilitates accountability and leadership. Afshar Hospital currently employs 155 Afghans, from security officers to lab technicians.
